"I would work to rebuild our respectable lifestyle and national
traditions. Every family should live in harmony and loyalty. Every school must take good care of their students diligently and thoughtfully." Government officials should be upright and dedicated. The people should be patriotic. People all over the world come to Vietnam not only for fun but also to learn about Vietnamese culture and lifestyle."
A DREAM CONTEST
Early in the year, the school held a contest of dreams for 9th graders. The students had to answer the question "Later, if you become a local leader, what priority would you do first so that foreigners won't look down on our Vietnamese national culture?"
Here are the typical answers:
"I would initiate campaigns and education programs, raise awareness, conduct inspections, as well as implement a fine to make all streets clean and beautiful. There would be no trash on the streets. Clean and beautiful streets are the most basic standard of a civilized country. Anyone who loves their country should not litter. Garbage trucks should only accept sorted waste."
"I would collaborate with contractors to construct all roads and make them as even and smooth as possible. I would demand an investigation to find those who are responsible for building broken and uneven roads. I would strictly punish all of them. There is no exception."
They are incapable and irresponsible. The roads in Vietnam must be the most even in the world."
"I would check the noise pollution according to the international environmental standard. Crimes were committed due to noise from karaoke. People should be able to live in a calm and quiet environment. If local businesses are being too loud, local authority figures will be punished for not being able to manage the noise level. Construction companies must implement methods to minimize noises."
"I would educate our people to be gentle and friendly towards foreigners so that they have a good impression of Vietnam. There was a scooter driver who jumped into the sewer to find a purse for a female foreign tourist. She was so fond of us. People all over the world would come to Vietnam to enjoy the loveliest and nicest culture in the world."
"I would limit buildings and expand green spaces. I would make every household create a green space. Green plants should be everywhere, on the ground or hanging on balconies... We can see how far a nation has developed through its commitment to green spaces. Vietnam will be the greenest country in the world."

"I would write textbooks about morality and causality to promote morality among prisoners. Prisoners are not frequently exposed to a moral environment, therefore, it's important for us to provide it. We can't keep paying taxes to feed prisoners who may commit sins again when they are released. The most important and main goal for prisoners is that they need to master lessons of morality and causality before they can be released. If the prisoners are not surrounded by good morals, they will continue to develop ill thoughts when they are living together."
"I would implement the lessons on the web page Basis of Morality into schools' required curriculum."
