Today's reflection
When we’re blessed because we’ve contributed a lot to life, then happiness, good fortune, and money will come to us naturally and respectfully. On the other hand, we may cook up many schemes to gain for ourselves, and be successful at first, but sooner or later, things still return to the starting point. Be cautious when getting benefits, be enthusiastic when contributing to life. That’s the true wisdom.

Life has so many kinds of entertainments. There are sinful entertainments, and there are noble ones. However, we should be realistic and not play too much. Xuân Diệu, a poet, once said: "Bread and butter don't play with artists."

If we know our good wishes for people are the keys to open the doors to many good things in the future, why don't we try to build that cheerful habit? It really costs nothing.

Thus, it turns out that the strength of moral people is the ability to endure others’ bad habits. The more we can endure others’ bad habits, the higher our morality is. Endurance means that we do not get mad at their bad habits. It doesn’t mean that we collude with their wrongdoings. That they are evil, wrong, selfish, and greedy doesn’t make us angry. But we don’t keep silent; we have a better scheme to make them better. The measurement of our morality is based on how much we can endure the ruthlessness of people in life.

To justify ourselves properly if we can. It would not help if we blindly ignore others’ wrong thoughts about us. If they misunderstand us, then once they learn the truth, they will feel guilty. Therefore, if we have any chances to let them know the truth, we should do that at all costs, which can help others avoid an undeliberate sin.

A little selfishness can also make one’s heart ugly. A little bit of greed for success can also make one’s heart dirty. A piece of arrogance can also make one’s heart corrupted. Recognizing this, wise people will always embrace morality because it is the beauty of the soul, and beauty of the soul in itself is happiness.

We should be wise and moral enough to control ourselves over our eagerness for success. We need to know when we should try to win and when we should resign ourselves. Sometimes we lose but we feel easy. Sometimes we win but we feel regretful for the rest of our life. As a saying of a Saint goes, “To conquer thousands of enemy troops cannot compare with conquering ourselves.” We ourselves distinguish right from wrong and good from evil.

We are sorrowful because we want to avoid sorrow. The more we want to avoid sorrow, the more sorrowful we are. The key to ending sorrow is to accept it. It is very surprising that when we are courageous enough to accept the sorrow, the sorrow will go away.
