The respect for others must be expressed with polite words,
humble behaviors, and deferential attitudes. If a family can equip their children with respectful politeness, that family has given them a great fortune for the children's future. If a person can implement respectful politeness, he or she will get many blessings in the lives to come.

RESPECFUL POLITENESS
Respectful politeness means showing respect to seniors through words, gestures, attitudes, and even in thoughts. People of different regions will have their own way to express their respect. But all of them resemble each other in the gesture of lowering their heads, saying yes, and the expressions of respecting others.
Humans behave to one another based on their emotional scales. Negative levels of emotion are pessimistic sentiments such as hatred, contempt, indifference, etc... Gradually getting rid of such negative sentiments, people achieve the nil level of emotion, which is neither love nor hatred.
Sentiments that are above zero are positive ones, including: slight affection, love, respect, admiration, adoration, etc.
Negative sentiments often cause chaos for society and even for our lives. He who has negative sentiments will easily commit sins and damage his own blessings. If we usually scorn or hate other people, we will pay some prices according to the law of karma. A low price is the loss of talent, a high price is the loss of virtue, and an extremely expensive price is insanity. Even scorning normal people is also sin.
If we scorn a highly respectable one, we will lose all of the blessings that we have acquired from long ago.
On the contrary, positive sentiments bring us blessing. If we keep loving people and respecting others, our lives will be on the up-and-up.
However, positive emotional levels also contain some inappopriate sentiments, for example, crazy admiration (hooligans) or love between men and women (in relation to sexual instinct). Those sentiments lead to other matters and will not be discussed here.
All sentiments consume our energy, both physically and mentally. Hate causes exhaustion, love also causes tiredness. The loss of energy requires us to stop for energy recovery. Lovers or married couples who are passionate for love at first also see their passion fade gradually and need to recharge their energy later. If they do not understand this rule of exhaustion from love, they will reproach each other, and break their love.
A respectful mind consumes more energy than other sentiments. Only he who is very "strong" can regularly remain the emotion of respecting the seniors. That is the reason why many teenagers try to avoid giving their respect to the elder, as they feel so tired of that, but this will be a disaster for their life later. Without respecting their seniors, their minds will weaken, their immunity against the bad will be reduced, and they will easily be corrupted.
Only the children who are intelligent and courageous can stay polite and respectful throughout their adolescence to adulthood.
In religions, the monks and followers are trained to have a highly respectful heart, thus, they have considerable inner strength. That is why people usually feel more attracted to these individuals more. Their mind power is very strong.
The feelings of respect for the saints, the honorable seniors, the elderly are the most positive sentiments.
They consume the highest level of energy, however, create blessing the most. A child who knows to respect the elder will achieve many successes in the future as a result.
He who can pay utmost homage to the Saints will have enough inner strength to become a Saints in the future. To become a Saints, a person must be very intelligent, very moral, and very dedicated to life.
The respect for others must be expressed with polite words, humble behaviors, and deferential attitudes.
If a family can equip their children with respectful politeness, that family has given them a great fortune for the children's future. If a person can implement respectful politeness, he or she will get many blessings in the lives to come.
So, we all should know how to lower our heads to greet, to say yes, to be docile, and to respect; even when needed, we may kneel down in front of things that are sacred.
