Only when humans have spirituality, humans can surpass robots.
So, to save the world in the future, we must practice spirituality via meditation.
SEVEN LEVELS OF THE SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Those who sacrifice their joy for their parents and children reach the first level of morality (1.0). If they also care about their neighbors, relatives, friends and help them when needed, then they reach the second level (2.0).
If they care about their companies, their work, and work hard, they reach the third level (3.0).
The fourth level (4.0) is when they have responsibility to social organizations such as Women's Association, Elderly Association. Those organizations spread to every corner of your neighborhood, so if you positively contribute to the development of these associations, you reach the fourth level.
The fifth level (5.0) when you have responsibility to the country. Today, Vietnam can be proud of its position in the world which helps our nation achieves maximum benefits in international relations. It is thanks to great leaders, courageous and intelligent generals, and the sacrifice of our forefathers for the independence of our nation. All are the highest manifestation of our people's infinite love and the realization "There is nothing more precious than independence and freedom."
Patriotic spirit is in the blood of each Vietnamese person, and it is very natural. It is one of the great spiritual values that makes a unique Vietnamese culture. Therefore, each of us should have a desire for a mighty Vietnam, and be willing to sacrifice everything for the prosperity and survival of our homeland. Thus, our ethics reaches a higher level, the one of 5.0.
The sixth level (6.0) when you care for the world. If our ethics haven't yet reached the level of 6.0 to have a sense of responsibility for the whole planet, we are still a step retrograde compared with the artificial intelligence of science and technology. And human civilization will come to a dead end, and it will destroy our life. Remember this is the problem we have to solve.
For those who only care for his family, his wife and children, then he reaches just the first level of ethics, and he can't withstand the advancement of science and technology of artificial intelligence, and our Earth will be self-destructive for sure.
Those who always care for the country are achieving the fifth level of morality. For instance, a person who had a small stall in the street cares for the country paying the sidewalk fee in spite of his low interest, the local authority will for the budget of the neighborhood. That person was happy to contribute because he knew giving even a little amount of money to the community, he was contributing to the building of the country. Those who have that thought attain the level of 5.0.
Let assess our sense of responsibility to the community to know which level our morality reach. Will we be able to keep up with the science and technology of artificial intelligence? Then we can see our responsibility for the choice of which kamma that drives our Earth to a dead end or makes it a paradise.
So, developing our morality parallel to the science and technology is the responsibility of all of us.
The level of morality is calculated based on how much our sense of responsibility toward the community. Our responsibility to the family is the first level, to the country is the fifth level. And we will reach the sixth level of morality if we have responsibility toward the world, and this level can go along with the age of artificial intelligence. However, in Buddhism, there is a higher degree of morality (higher than 6.0).
Ancient scriptures recorded the fact that when Buddha was born, he walked on 7 lotuses, that is, Buddha's level achieve the morality level of 7.0, one level higher than required to keep human civilization from coming to a dead end. What is the level of 7.0 in Buddhist morality? It is infinite, pure, objective compassion and responsibility to all sentient beings in the universe.
Once again, the level 5.0 is to have a sense of responsibility to the country, 6.0 is to have a sense of responsibility to the whole world, and 7.0 is to have a sense of responsibility to the entire universe. That is the highest level of ethics in Buddhism, which is also the 7 steps on 7 lotuses that Buddha walked on at His birth.
If our ethics reach the level 7.0, it is higher than science and technology, hence can prevent science and technology from coming to a dead end and destroy life on Earth. It is the responsibility of all of us.
However, to be a responsible person, we have to diligently practice for a very long time. But now, it's time for the world civilization to choose one of the two directions, so everyone has to raise their sense of responsibility higher and higher. Only when most people on the planet reach the level of 7.0 (though not yet enlightened), but are aware of it, then we can save the world from being destroyed. Please bear it in mind.
But to raise the sense of responsibility from the first level to the seventh is not easy. Some people only care for their family and no one else (their morality reach the level 1.0). These will contribute to the destruction of the Earth. As for us, from now on, we must try to improve ourselves to have a sense of responsibility toward a larger and larger community to save the world tomorrow.
We have talked about 7 levels of ethics, from 1.0 to 7.0. At the level of 7.0 we must vow to love all beings or be responsible to all beings in modern language. And to love all beings, we must be selfless, hence must practice meditation. Meditation helps us attain selflessness and become enlightened and liberated.
The level of 7.0 requires our responsibility toward the universe and our goal of selflessness and enlightenment. To achieve it, we must make an effort to practice meditation, i.e., spirituality, which never be achieved through artificial intelligence. Thanks to that, people can't be inferior to robots. Because robots are so powerful, smarter, faster than humans in any aspect. When we haven't found a way to escape, they shoot us; when we haven't found a way to fight with them, they scan and find our shelter and kill us.
Only when humans have spirituality, humans can surpass robots. So, to save the world in the future, we must practice spirituality via meditation.
A human-shaped robot named Sophia was created in Arabs. Sophia intelligently answered all questions from humans.
When this robot hasn't provided with the limbs, it could only answer questions from humans, but what if it has limbs, and even more, is equipped with artificial intelligence? It will make more robots for a large force, and then will take control of humans then kill the Earth. Fortunately, though robots are very intelligent, they don't have the spiritual life.
In the past, there was a fairy tale about a male student who fell in love with a beautiful girl in a picture. Every day when he went home after school, he saw his meal was ready, but no one else was in his house. One day, he went home at an unusual time and found a girl coming out from the picture. She cleaned the house and cooked dinner for him. He rushed to stop the girl from running into the picture again. They then married. But later the wife said that she was a heavenly being and had to leave.
Today, many people do not believe in that myth. But don't rush to jump to conclusion. There are many spirits invisible to us desiring the life in this world, so they often “enter” a beautiful picture or statue.
When people finish making a statue, they often hold a ceremony to invite the god they're going to worship to stay in that statue. The statue then becomes mysterious. And when people sincerely beg the statue something, the god in the statue listens and blesses them.
So, is it possible that ghosts become spirits of robots? If yes, what do ghosts do with the robots? Ghosts can become robots' spirits but can't do anything because their brains are incompatible and those of the ghosts are far less powerful than those of the robots. So robots never have the spiritual life, though they are brilliant.
And it's lucky for humans since we have a chance to be superior to robots by improving our spirituality. And that the way we can control the progress of science and technology, become its master, and take advantage of it to benefit humanity.
Despite the appearance of artificial intelligence and the rapid progress of science and technology, humans can always be more superior if their morality reaches the seventh level, to have compassion for all being in the universe, and they will use artificial intelligence, modern technology to build this planet a happy land.
