We are afraid that our Earth only focuses on technological
advancements and ignores morality, and no one knows what the consequences will be. The more technology progresses, the more humans need to reach a very high level of ethics. That is the urge of human conscience. Anyone anxious about the future of humanity must be aware of this problem.
CANNOT LEND A BAND
Dad asked his son who was playing a game on the computer:
"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
The son replied:
"I think I will not need to have a job, dad."
"What do you mean, son?"
"All work will be done by robots. Robots will plant rice, robots will build houses, robots will seize the criminals, robots will run the countries... Generally, humans will not need to do anything because robots will do everything."
"But robots will not eat for you, because if robots eat, you will not be full. It is not logical if robots sleep, and you are healthy, or robots go to the toilet and you are clean. These basic actions can only be performed by ourselves, not robots. You cannot get knowledge if robots study. Without studying, you are but a walking piece of meat."
"You cannot become robust if robots exercise instead of you. You cannot become moral if robots improve their virtue while you don't. No matter how far technology advances, there are basic things that are a human's responsibility. If we hand over everything to robots, we will be useless on Earth and do not need to exist anymore. If you want to be a valuable person in an extremely progressive world, you must throw away that game machine, stand up and go jogging, open the books to study, do your homework, and improve your morality."
"We, your parents, cannot live forever to earn money for your whole lifetime. You must have proper competence and morality to contribute to life, and life will pay you in return."
The kid just understood that much, but we must understand more. No matter how far technology advances, humans will always need to understand about Karma, Rebirth, Ethics, Love, Compassion, Humanity, etc. Humans cannot stand still at a mediocre position in which we content ourselves with both good and bad traits. Humans must rise to a new saintly position. We believe that somewhere in the universe, there are planets where the civilizations reached the balanced stage of advanced and saintly morality. There, technology and science support morality, while morality controls them.
