Thus, it turns out that the strength of moral people is the ability
to endure others’ bad habits. The more we can endure others’ bad habits, the higher our morality is. Endurance means that we do not get mad at their bad habits. It doesn’t mean that we collude with their wrongdoings. That they are evil, wrong, selfish, and greedy doesn’t make us angry. But we don’t keep silent; we have a better scheme to make them better. The measurement of our morality is based on how much we can endure the ruthlessness of people in life.
AN IDEAL PERSON
Dang was confiding to Mr. Hai and the people in the meditating hall:
"Uncle Hai, after practicing meditation for a while, my depression has disappeared. I'm aware of my responsibility for my family. I've got a job for three months and been working hard. My job is stable. I get paid well. I want to say thank you for instructing me on the practice of meditation. You have truly revived my life. But now, my parents force me to get married to continue the family line. I told them I couldn't choose anyone to marry. Then my parents said that they would select a girl for me. I don't know what to do."

"Third, a wife should never blame your mistake on you but sympathize with you to keep the family in harmony. Even if you have an affair, she must not be jealous due to the peace of the family."
"Now it starts to get hard to find a wife like that, uncle."
"Fourth, a wife must completely obey you, never reject what you tell her to do to avoid making you depressed."
Dang was thoughtful.
"Is there such a wife in the world today? They must be extinct."

"Seventh, she must endure well when your family encounters adversities and avoid complaining. Even if you become jobless, she must be pleasing and cheerful."
"I know a few wives like that in movies."
"Eighth, she must be unconditionally nice to her parents-in-law, even when they unfairly chew her out."
"This quality belongs to fairies that have been cultivating themselves for hundreds of years."
"Ninth, her health must be very good to take good care of her family. If she gets sick, she still needs to fulfill her responsibility for the family before taking a rest."
"That's the quality of female special force agents in action movies, uncle."
"Tenth, she should never give money to her parents. She only has the right to take money from her parents to give to her husband's side. Every time she visits her parents, she must compliment her husband and parents-in-law with flying words."
A lady could no longer keep silence:

We are living among humans, not saints. Thus, everyone makes mistakes. Jealousy, greed, selfishness, even cruelty are parts of human nature. Some know to cultivate themselves honestly to eliminate those bad traits. However, many of us have not been able to restrain such moral faults, and many are not interested in eradicating their sins. Many still suppose moral ones to be foolish.
However, it’s really weird that we always require others to be nice to us and to endure our bad habits. Only extremely good people can endure the bad habits of others. Meanwhile, because we are bad, we need those around us to be kind. If both sides are bad, then apparently we will feel very painful. Thus, no matter how good or bad we behave, we want anyone living with us to be kind so that we can be happy.
