We should make kids think about the morality of their actions.
In this way, intelligence is evoked and morality is cultivated as well. Children will grow up having emotional balance, thus becoming useful to society.

RAISING INTELLIGENT CHILDREN
Linh sat beneath a willow tree, looking out at the vast blue sea. He took advantage of his free time while working as a detective to gaze out at the sea for a little peace of mind. Work can be stressful at times, and apprehending heinous criminals is difficult. While he was still contemplating, someone suddenly tapped his shoulder:
-
Nice to see you again today.
Linh turned around, surprised. It turned out to be the old man selling water on the North-West mountain path. Linh cheerfully moved to sit next to him and inquired: -
Why are you here? We quashed the verdict quickly thanks to your advice the other day. We tracked down their parents and apprehended the perpetrators. But how come I didn't see your kiosk when I went home that afternoon?
The old man simply smiled:
-
You must have been too preoccupied with your thoughts to notice my store.
Linh searched his memories, but he was confused. This is because he still remembered that day vividly, when he drove slowly and deliberately looking for the kiosk with thatched roof, but he couldn't find it. Anyway, it was no longer important. -
So, what has brought you to Nha Trang?
-
Wherever is predestined, I will come; whoever is predestined, I will meet. The sea is beautiful, isn't it?
Realizing the old man was avoiding the question, Linh didn't query further. He changed the subject: -
Sir, you mentioned the tendency to commit crimes that arise when people have the attitude of disrespecting venerable people. I thought about it for over a month before it started to make some sense. And if the education sector understands how to apply this principle, our society will have fewer criminals. By the way, may I ask you a question about raising intelligent children?
The man replied with a smile,
- Your kid must be a few years old.
- It seems I can't hide anything from you. Yes, the boy is already three years old.
- In fact, intelligence is innate; each person is unique from the moment they are born. To understand why there is this disparity, many causes must be investigated, including scientific causes, spiritual causes, and causes of ancestral sins and blessings. However, if we know how to raise that same child “intelligently”,
that child will be more intelligent than what he was born with.
Linh listened intently. The man went on:
Do you know there are some poor regions that produce a lot of talented people for the country?
Yes, I myself was born in a poor Central province, but I studied very well and graduated from Security University as an excellent valedictorian. My friends claim that’s because I’m from a sacred land of extraordinary people.
There is no such thing as a sacred land; all children will be good if they are given a little difficulty, a little morality, and a little shame. The period from birth to 10 years old is when children’s brains can grow more sensitive or dull. Children with the same degree of innate intellect will be ten times smarter if we know how to raise them. That same child, if educated incorrectly, will grow stupid over time. The first ten years are the most crucial. After that, the brain will slow down gradually and steadily. The brain evolves rapidly during the first
ten years of life.
In order for a child’s brain to be intelligent, parents must be very intelligent as well, knowing how to create complex situations and gradually train children to always think out of the box. For example, if a hungry child sees a bottle of milk and wants to crawl to it, we… must first create a few simple obstacles for the child to overcome on his own before he can reach the bottle.
When they are a little older and a visitor comes to the house, we force them to come out to greet the visitor. But we'll ask the kids what they call visitors, uncles or aunts... To find the answer, children must think. In general, parents must be astute in placing their children in situations that require complex thinking, rather than allowing their children to live leisurely and stupidly. Many wealthy people have smart genes, but they pamper their children so much that there are always people serving them, and they never have to brainstorm anything. As a result, the brain with the intelligence gene becomes dull after the age of ten.
It is best to teach children how to deal with ethical issues because they will develop both intelligence and morality. When we see poor people, for example, we will ask children why they are poor and how we can help. Of course, there is no way to get the correct answer in the first few years, but children must be forced to develop complex thinking about ethics.
Then, parents ask their children, "What should you do if you're home alone and some strange visitors come over?"
If their children give incorrect answers, their parents must guide them to the correct ones. Thus, the children can figure out how to avoid the dangers.
Another scenario is to ask children what they should do if they see someone dropping money. Based on how the child replies, we will respond and ask again.
Every day, we keep asking children about this and that to force them to think complicatedly from a very early age. This education method requires parents to be wise and patient. But in the long run, the children will become obviously smarter, and then we will be happy and motivated to continue teaching.
Linh completely admired the man's wisdom. Suddenly, he asked:
- Sorry but I still don't know what your name is.
- My name is Minh.
- Where are you staying while being here?
- Wherever I go, there are always acquaintances who can help me.
- Then have you been to Ho Chi Minh City?
- Sure, I have a friend there. His name is Hai. He has a Meditation Hall in district 9, where many people come to practice sedentary meditation for free.
- I've heard of meditation, but I'm not sure I understand it. To meditate means to not think about anything, is it right? And it helps relax our minds, doesn't it?
- Correct.
- So, if we stop thinking, do we gradually become dull?
Mr. Minh smiled and continued:
- It's a blisteringly complicated problem to achieve a tranquil mind. How to keep our minds peaceful is the world's most complicated thinking. So don't worry; the more you practice meditation, the more intelligent you will become. If you drop by Ho Chi Minh City, you should visit Mr. Hai to learn about sedentary meditation.
- Yes, I will follow your advice.
Mr. Minh bid farewell and left.
We can compile the list of techniques to teach children to brainstorm like that, because it is good for society. Kindergartens should encourage children to think complicatedly from a very early age, and the next generation will become smarter.
We should make kids think about the morality of their actions. In this way, intelligence is evoked and morality is cultivated as well. Children will grow up having emotional balance, thus becoming useful to society.
