You may ask, “If we always mind about what is a sin, what is a merit,
what is good and what is evil, we will be tired and stressful.” That’s true. We must do it twenty or thirty years then we will feel natural; otherwise, we will feel comfortable in the beginning because we live however we like, but in the end, we will be miserable. And not only that, in our next life, we will be more miserable because we don’t create more blessing but commit more sin.

JUDGING A PERSON BASES ON THEIR WISDOM TO DISTIGUISH BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL
We often hear this is right and that is wrong or try to do good deeds and avoid doing evil deeds. We may understand good and bad in general but do not have a profound understanding of them. So, today we will discuss what is good and what is evil so that each of us will clearly understand them. It means that we will change from ordinary people to saints because saints are ones who fully understand good and evil. This article is just a suggestion and won't mention all things about good and evil. You must have an extended period of practice to recognize better what is good, what is evil, and you will see good and evil are not as simple as what you may think.
Later, we will be able to evaluate the practice of someone not based on their time of exercise as well as not based on their appearances but based on their ability to distinguish between good and evil. For example, we met an average person, but when talking to him, we discovered that he could recognize errors that we could not then we should have known that this person had wisdom.
For example, at a party, there were four people (A, B, C, and D) talking to each other. Person A criticized a missing person. Person B and person C had no ideas about that. However, person D softly said, “That we think someone is bad or commits errors is maybe because we don’t understand them.” We usually judge someone subjectively and do not listen to that person’s justification; hence, condemning others is not always accurate. So, the idea of D was a reminder to us, and we know that person D has wisdom and morality.
When evaluating the progress someone makes in his spiritual cultivation, we should base on how clearly he differentiates between good and evil. If he rarely thinks about right and wrong, then we should know that he is immoral and not worth being a human and in his future life, he will become an animal. We can base on this thing to know who is a saint, who is a human and who is an animal. The point is if people care about good and evil and at what level.
Many people do not care much about right and wrong; they live however they feel comfortable and spend on whatever they wish. They do not care how much their merit accumulated and sin they have committed. They are of unethical people, and we should be careful with them. If we have any chance to teach them, do it; otherwise, stay away from them to avoid not being affected. Those who do not care about right and wrong are immoral and their cause to become animals is very apparent.
You may ask, “If we always mind about what is a sin, what is a merit, what is good and what is evil, we will be tired and stressful.” That’s true. We must do it twenty or thirty years then we will feel natural; otherwise, we will feel comfortable in the beginning because we live however we like, but in the end, we will be miserable. And not only that, in our next life, we will be more miserable because we don’t create more blessing but commit more sin.
Keep in mind that when we do not create more blessings, we will commit more sins. So, at the beginning of our religious life, we should concern about good and evil for about ten, twenty or thirty years depending on our wisdom. Some just need five years of concerning good and evil then they feel secure and comfortable because everything they do or they thought is good even with a small thing, so their heart will be filled with happiness. And for people who are less intellectual, they have to think about good and evil in about ten years, twenty years, or thirty years; then their mind will be full of good thoughts.
It is the first stage of the struggle, but you will gain the benefits forever. Those who are concerned about right and wrong for twenty or thirty years will achieve happiness, peace, and serenity and nothing can shake their belief. Those who are superficial and do not care about right and wrong and do not care about others’ feelings seem happy and comfortable now, but twenty or thirty years later, they will experience suffering. At that time their soul is filled with sadness that they cannot overcome; and the more they struggle to overcome their depression, the more miserable they will be.
